Deltaville is a town in the Middle Peninsula located on the easternmost point of Middlesex County between the Rappahannock and Piankatanck Rivers and actually fronts the Chesapeake Bay.
Deltaville is known for boating and fishing and is home to several fishing tournaments. It is also home to many marinas as the town is popular amongst serious boating enthusiasts. By virtue of its location on a point, it is surrounded on 3 sides by water giving much of the town access (or access very close by) to the water. The fact that Deltaville borders the Chesapeake Bay makes it a favorite of those who prefer to fish the deeper waters of the Bay.
Water Depth around Deltaville is generally shallow in the close areas but quickly drops to 30′ or more within just a few miles of shore.
